Andrew has been working as an IT professional for over 20 years, including 20 years for the NSW Government, originally working in Software Development before switching to Cyber Security.
Prior to joining the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, he worked for the NSW Police Force for nearly 14 years, which included a number of secondments to the Cybercrime Unit and was the NSW Police Force Subject Matter Expert on the Darknet.


In addition to a Bachelors and Masters in the Computer Sciences, he is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) and Offensive Security Defense Analyst (OSDA).

Andrew is also an organiser, author and committee member for DownUnderCTF and the Captain of the NSW Government competitive hacking team “TahSec”, which has competed in around 150 CTFs, placing in the top 1% of all teams in 2022.
