Ricardo has an Electrical Engineering degree from UWA and a Masters in Cybersecurity from ECU, with decades of experience in applying sound engineering and cybersecurity principles for process control and OT infrastructure in operational plants across Australia, Brazil, China, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
Having been heavily involved in several high profile SCADA automation projects in the mining industry for clients including Rio Tinto, FMG, Vale, BHP Billiton Iron Ore and Citic Pacific Mining, he is now enjoying the challenges in the energy sector at Woodside, where he has now worked for the last 5 years. In his current role as the OT Cyber Technical Authority, he is responsible for assuring Woodside’s OT cyber processes and managing OT cyber risks.
Ricardo has previously chaired the CS4CA conference in Singapore in 2023 and is delighted to be presenting at the ADF Cyber Skills Challenge this year.
